ClaimCore

Finance Pro

A flag saying part paid does not tell you what you are owed.

Core raises the invoice. Finance Pro is the money trail underneath it — what arrived, what it settled, what is still outstanding and how old it is.

For firms whose aged debt is real money and currently lives in the accounts package rather than against the claim.

Why it exists

In most claims systems, a payment is a status. The invoice is marked paid, or part paid, and the actual figure — how much arrived, on what date, against which invoice — lives in the accounting package, where it is no longer attached to the claim it came from.

That is fine until somebody asks what the book is worth. Then you have a list of invoices in one system and a list of receipts in another, and the reconciliation is a person with two screens.

What it does

Money as it arrives

Receipts
Recorded when the payment lands, with the date, amount and payer.
Allocation
Against the specific invoices a receipt settles — so a payment covering three claims is three allocations, not one guess.
Part payments with real figures
Amount received and amount outstanding, both as numbers. Which is what a status flag cannot be.

What is still owed

Aged debt
Calculated from the outstanding balance rather than from the invoice date, so a part-settled invoice ages on what is left.
Write-off with a reason
Recorded and attributable, rather than a balance quietly disappearing.
Ledger export
The whole ledger as a file your bookkeeper imports into Xero or Sage. Deliberately an export rather than an integration.

Correct under pressure

Two people, one receipt
Allocation is locked so two agents working the same payment at once cannot double-allocate it or deadlock against each other.
A double-clicked form
Does not pay twice. The action carries an idempotency key.
Invariants held by the database
An allocation cannot exceed its receipt and a write-off cannot exceed the balance — enforced below the application, not by a form.

What changes

The book's value is a query, not a reconciliation

Because the receipts and the invoices are in the same place, attached to the same claims.

Aged debt means what it says

Counted from what is genuinely outstanding rather than from when the invoice was raised.

Your accountant still gets what they need

A clean ledger export, rather than an integration that has to be maintained by both sides.

What it does not do

Finance Pro is a claim ledger, not an accounting system. It does not do double-entry bookkeeping, VAT returns, payroll or statutory accounts, and it is not trying to. Every firm already has Xero or Sage, and building a worse version of one inside a claims system helps nobody.

It also does not take payments. There is no card processing and no direct debit — it records money that arrived through your existing banking.

See it against one of your real claims.
